Dear Jesus, on Good Friday you suffered and died on the cross. You willingly gave up your life. Through that one selfless act, you paid for our sins and the sins of the whole world. On Easter Sunday morning, you conquered death by rising from the grave. That one miraculous act promises life for us and all who believe in you. Thank you for conquering sin and death for us. Thank you for giving us the hope and promise of eternal life with you. You are the resurrection and the life. Amen.

 

Dear Jesus, we thank you for the opportunity to gather with family and friends to celebrate your resurrection from death and victory over dying. Help us to remember the true meaning of Easter - YOUR VICTORY over death. Your victory is OUR victory! Help us to live with this winning confidence every day of our lives. In your name we pray, Amen.
